1.  The Bible: We believe that the Bible, consisting of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, is God’s infallible, inerrant Word, authored by God and written by men who were uniquely moved by the Holy Spirit, and that it is our sole authority in all matters. We affirm our belief in the verbal, complete, and equal inspiration of the Scriptures in their original writing. Psalm 19:7-11; 119:89,105; Isaiah 40: 8; Matthew 5:18; John 1:1; John 17:17; I Corinthians 2:13; II Timothy 3:I6-17; Hebrews 4:12; II Peter 1:20-21.

2.  The Godhead: We believe in one triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, eternal in being, identical in nature, equal in power and glory, and having precisely the same attributes and perfection. God is the Creator of all things, the Source of all truth. He is separate from the world and universe, yet everywhere present as the sovereign ruler and sustainer of all things. He is all-sufficient, unchanging, infinite, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, holy, just, merciful, gracious, long-suffering, and abundant in goodness and truth. Genesis 1:1; Exodus 3:14-15; Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10-13; Matthew 28:18-19; John 14:10-11; Ephesians 3:14-21; Philippians 2:5-6; Colossians 1:15-17; 1 Peter 1:1-2; Revelation 1:17-18.

3.  The Creation and Fall of Man: We believe that man was created perfect in the image of God for the purpose of glorifying Him, but through Adam’s sin, man fell from his original state of innocence and became corrupt in nature. As a consequence, man is under the wrath of God and is eternally lost apart from salvation through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Genesis 1:26-27; 3:1-24; Isaiah 53:6; Jeremiah 17:9; John 3:16-17; Romans 3:10; 3:23; 6:23; Ephesians 2:1-10.

4.  The Person and Work of Jesus Christ: We believe that Jesus Christ, the second Person of the Trinity, is the pre-existent, eternal Son of God; that He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary; that He is fully God and fully man, yet without sin; that His death on the cross fully satisfied God’s divine justice and accomplished our redemption; that His bodily resurrection from the dead confirmed His deity and atoning work, and fully guaranteed the redemption of all who believe; that He is now seated at the right hand of God in heaven, where, as High Priest, He serves as Intercessor and Advocate for all believers; that He is the only Mediator between God and man, the Head of His body (the church) and the coming universal King. Genesis 3:15; Isaiah 7:14; 9:6-7; 53:1-12; Luke 1:35; John 1:1-3,14; John 10:10-12; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 1:2-4; 5:8; II Corinthians 5:18-19, Philippians 2:5-11; Colossians 1:15-20; 2:9; I Timothy 2:5; 3:16; Hebrews 1:1-3; 7:24-25; 9:22; Revelation 12:5.

5.  The Holy Spirit: We believe that the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity is the pre-existent, eternal Spirit of God. He began His work in this present age at Pentecost, when He came as promised by Christ. In relation to all people, He convicts of sin, righteousness and judgment. In relation to believers, He regenerates, baptizes into the body of Christ, indwells, fills, sanctifies, instructs, comforts, bestows gifts, empowers for service, and preserves to the day of redemption. Genesis 1:1-2; Matthew 28:19; John 14:26; 16:7-15; Acts 1:5,8; 2:1-40; Romans 8:9; 8:26-27; I Corinthians 12:4-13; Galatians 5:22-26; Ephesians 1:13-14; 4:30; 5:18; Titus 3:5-6; Revelation 22:17.

6.  Salvation: We believe that Salvation is a free gift of God’s divine grace, totally apart from human merit or works. God is not willing that any should perish, therefore, salvation is available to all who repent and believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior through faith. Salvation is eternal (John 10:28-30; John 17:2-3; Romans 8:38-39; I John 5:11-13) and is evidenced by Christ-like character, righteous living, and good works as the believer submits to the indwelling Holy Spirit, in obedience to the Word of God. All who do not believe remain spiritually dead and are condemned to eternal separation from God. Genesis 15:6; Psalm 32:1-2; John 1:12; 3:16; 5:24; 10:28; Acts 4:12; 16:31; Romans 3:9-5:11; 8:1, 31-39; 10:9,10; II Corinthians 5:14-21; Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:4-7; I Peter 1:3-5; I John 5:11-13; Jude 24; Revelation 20:12-15.

7.  The Church: We believe that the Church is the universal Body of Christ, composed of all who have placed their trust in Jesus, irrespective of denominational or organizational affiliation. The mission of the Church is to make disciples of all peoples and nations, and to bring them to maturity in Christ. Matthew 16:18; 28:18-20; Acts 2:1-47; I Corinthians 12:12-13; Ephesians 2:19-22; 3:10-11; 4:11o16; Colossians 1:28; Hebrews 10:24-25.

8. We believe in the observance of the two ordinances regarding which Christ instructed the Church:

a).Water Baptism: Baptism is a public profession of faith in the saving Grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  We believe the method is by immersion as taught in the scripture and demonstrated by Christ.  Matthew 3:13-17; 28:19; Acts 10:47-48. Baptism has no saving efficacy.

 b) Communion: (The Lord’s Supper). Communion is taken in obedience to Christ’s instruction. It is taken in remembrance of Him and as a proclamation of saving faith. Matthew 26:26-30; I Corinthians 5:7-8; 11:17-34.  The elements are the bread and the cup which are representative of, not literally the flesh and blood of Christ. As with Baptism, the taking of the elements of Communion has no saving efficacy in itself.

9.  Satan: We believe that Satan is a fallen angel originally created as Lucifer, who through his own free will rebelled against God and was ejected from Heaven along with rebellious angelic followers. Satan is called the devil, the father of lies, murderer, the serpent, and the prince of the power of the air. Satan was defeated at Calvary and now awaits his final judgment. Satan continues to oppose God, counterfeit truth, and accuse believers in the world today. Genesis 3: 1-24; Job 1:6-2:10; Isaiah 14:12-14; Ezekiel 28:12-17; John 8:44; Acts 26:18; Ephesians 6:10-13; II Corinthians 4:4; Revelation 12:1-17; 19:17-21 ; 20:1-15.

10. Future Things: We believe in the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe in the bodily resurrection of all the dead. All the redeemed will appear before the Judgment Seat of Christ to be rewarded for the works they have done after salvation. They will dwell forever with Christ. Those who have not been redeemed will stand before God’s great white throne to have eternal condemnation pronounced upon them and will be cast into the lake of fire along with Satan and his fallen angels. Matthew 24:29-31; John 3:18; 5:24-29; 14:1-3; Acts 1:11; II Corinthians 5:6-10; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; II Thessalonians 1:5-10; Hebrews 9:27-28; II Peter 3:10-13; Revelation 20:1-6, 11-15; Revelation 22.
